SweatBlock Antiperspirant Rachael Reduce Packets
Like most people doing this review I thought "this has to cause cancer.... but I don't care, I've tried everything." Day 1..... Wet, and I mean soaked (as always) But it said it may take 2-3 days so I apply night two. Day 2: Wet. Day 3: Wet. Day 4: just damp... for the first half, then soaked again. However - Day 6 (I got two boxes to start) - I felt so confidently dry that I wore a light colored shirt and didn't even take a sweater with me to cover up. I used it every night for about a week and a half, then cut down to every other day. Now it's been almost three weeks and I just started using it once every three days.
I'm a nervous sweater and it doesn't take much to trigger a waterfall that takes hours to recover from. I had a mile panic attack at work a few days ago and although I got really warm, I stayed dry.
Let's talk about the irritation: LADIES! DO NOT APPLY AFTER HAVING JUST SHAVED! There should have been a warning for that. That was the only time I had "irritation." It does itch though - very badly. A strange tingly itch. But it's worth it and only last until you can block it out long enough to fall asleep.
Back to the cancer. It says to use non-aluminum deodorant with it if needed. I accompany it at night with Certain Dry (and on off nights) and regular deodorant in the morning. I'm sure eventually I'll ween off of it, but the Certain Dry with it at night helps kill the itch - a little.
The few who wrote reviews saying it didn't work, gave up after 3-4 days. It took almost a week for me, and I kept going because well, I had 16 pads to start with, might as well give it a shot.

I was leery of ordering this because of the lack of reviews. I remembered seeing it on Rachel Ray and I watched that video again of the firefighter. It was priced well so I thought I would give it a shot. It does burn and sting on the night of application. You have to just take it easy and go to sleep. I actually used it on my face as I have an embarrassing facial sweating problem. Whether I am working out or going to lunch with the girls, my face sweats all my makeup off. I have had this problem for years and am very embarrassed by it. The company recommends for armpits only, but people have been known to use it for other areas. My skin was not sensitive to it and it usually is sensitive to everything! The next morning and the following week I was amazed. No sweat at all. I didn't even break a sweat when I worked out or my daughter was screaming in the grocery store. I did have a little dryness, which was quickly solved with a small amount of sensitive skin oil free oil of olay face lotion 1 application. It is definitely worth trying. I am afraid something will happen and it will go away. Seems like everything I like stops being sold. I think I will buy a years supply just to be safe.
BalasHapusFirst I want to start off by saying that in my line of work, cranial/facial hyperhydrosis is not an option. I am a surgical technologist in the operating room and when sweat is pouring off of your face in a steady stream, after little or no effort, it's extremely hard to not sweat yourself un-sterile. I realized when I bought Sweatblock that it wasn't intended for facial use, but honestly, I have tried everything else and I would not have cared if it turned me into a bullfrog. I, like everyone else, was skeptical because nothing seemed to even TOUCH my sweating, but I bought it anyway praying that it would subdue the torrential downpour on my face just a little! The first time I applied it my face was very tight and itchy but nothing that I couldn't handle. I was so embarrassed by my face sweating that I wouldn't look anyone in the eye and I was constantly wiping my face with my hands (not very attractive) My face would sweat walking to my car in 60 degree weather, while I was sitting in a cool room, talking, walking, running, jumping, swimming, blinking... my face NEVER stopped sweating. Until I found Sweatblock.

The first thing I noticed is after I got out of the shower to brush my teeth, I felt hot as always.... but NO sweat. None, zero... dry as a bone! I was ecstatic but still skeptical... it wasn't until I got to work, scrubbed in, sat up my working table that I noticed.... The day before my face was drenched, my mask had wet spots on it, my eye make up was completely gone and I was miserable. But after the first application... there was NOTHING. I even had the nurse working with me touch my forehead to see if I was imagining it. I have never felt so good about myself in my entire life. I walked around that day like I was queen of the world, it was amazing. I've been using Sweatblock for a week now and it is as amazing today as it was last week. I can't express how much sweatblock has changed my life in such a short period of time. I get to wear makeup every day and I can wear my scrub hat like a normal person instead of almost over my eyelids. I wish I could describe how great this product is with words that it deserves. It is life changing.
I rarely write reviews but this product has been life changing. I feel like I have tried every over the counter anti-perspirant and a couple of clinical ones and nothing has reduced excessive perspiration. My casual wardrobe has been mostly dark colors to hide under arm sweating and I rarely removed my suit jacket at work.
BalasHapusI tried Sweat Block and could not be happier with the efficacy of the product. Sweat block was easy to apply, albeit a little more effort than a typical anti-perspirant stick or gel. (You have to dab a wet towlette under your arm and let air dry). However, with that said, the results have been phenomenal. Dryness for 7 to 8 days and minimal wetness in moderate to heavy activity. Unbelievable. I am actually wearing clothing I have never been able to wear before because of underarm sweat! After "suffering" with a problem that I thought only surgery might be able to solve (botox injections) this product has done the trick.
I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who literally CRIED when she had to wear her school polos because her sweating made awful rings (and she was miserable). She had tried prescription antiper., natural methods ([...]) over past year and nothing came close to working. As a family we have tried really hard to limit the usage of aluminum products on our bodies (only using antiper. during summer months) due to health risks but for this daughter, she was getting severely depressed over it. She said it worked perfectly for a week the first couple times but now it's working for about 5 days but still, NO SWEAT. She loves it and she makes sure I don't forget to order it. Miracle for those suffering from severe sweating.

BalasHapusI read all these reviews before I bought the product and I was still skeptical but I figured that I'd try it since I've tried everything else (clinical deodorants, men's deodorants, prescription deodorants, even a medication prescribed by my doctor that made me extremely dehydrated). This actually works! I still wear a regular deodorant because this doesn't protect against smell, but I no longer need to buy special deodorants that claim to prevent sweating! This is literally something I have worried about every single day, and now I barely worry about sweating at all! I can finally wear colored t-shirts that touch my armpits without worrying about embarrassing stains. I can even wear a shirt again without washing it, something I've never been able to do before! If you've tried everything else, try this. Fixing this problem was honestly priceless to me, and I'm so glad that I found this product.
